About CURA Long Term Substance Abuse for Women

CURA provides a drug-free residential program provides a structured environment for men and women 19 years of age and older who have history of drug use.

This treatment program stresses the "affirmation" process that builds individual self-esteem and focuses on the clients positive qualities to reverse the behavioral patterns of a life-style on drugs.

The process consists of four phases over a period of nine to twelve months.

During the first two phases the resident lives and participates in a large "family-like" facility where he or she must contribute to its operation and upkeep.

The resident relearns the meaning of responsibility, personal hygiene, punctuality, concern for and interaction with others.

The last two phases are transitional. While still living in the facility, the resident begins to have more contact with the community, usually in the form of training or employment.

He or she begins to share experiences with the newer members of the program.

In the phase the resident serves as a role model for entering clients.

1 $14,580
2 $19,720
3 $24,860

*Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines.
These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get legal aid from some offices, they use a sliding fee scale. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.
