                                        POWELL CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY CENTER provides assessments, referrals, treatment, continuing care and follow-up for adult alcohol and drug abusers and their families. 
Education (including a bookstore and counselor education program); outreach to community groups; and consultation to public and professional audiences are also available. 
Different levels of treatment intensity are available ranging from hospital or residential inpatient through day treatment to day/evening outpatient and relapse outpatient. 
All patients are supervised by a staff physician and receive comprehensive evaluation; ongoing treatment planning; individual or group counseling; family services and follow up from a clinical team. 
Treatment services are based on a 12 step philosophy. 
Treatment services are generally covered by insurance. 
Family services include open to the public education groups and Intervention counseling is available free of charge.
